Corneal Transplant Surgery using a donor cornea - Dr. Biswell
The cornea is the front, clear "window" of the eye which corresponds to a watch crystal. Patients with cloudy corneas from trauma or disease may require a corneal transplant. A small circle of the patient's cornea is removed and a new cornea, from a donor recently deceased, is sewn into place. Dr. Biswell has specialized in corneal transplant surgery since 1968 and maintains one of the most active corneal practices in the Bay Area.
